Ingram Micro 2012 Solutions Partner Invitational Spotlights Business Growth, Collaboration and Enablement

To drive greater collaboration and uniformity among its partner network, the Data Capture/POS Business Unit of Ingram Micro Inc., yesterday welcomed more than 400 solution providers and vendor partners to its 2012 Solution Partner Invitational. The event is taking place from May 15-17, 2012, in San Diego, Calif.

With a theme of “Infinite Possibilities,” the three-day event will help offer attendees insight on emerging technologies, trends, business practices and market dynamics influencing the success of channel partners in the U.S. and Canada. The event also will act as an optimal marketing and networking opportunity for Ingram Micro’s partner group.

“Technology has become a measurable enabler for businesses of all sizes and opened new opportunities for channel partners who know how these solutions are being used to build a better business model, establish a stronger corporate culture and enhance the customer experience,” said Brian Wiser, SVP, Specialty Division, Ingram Micro North America. “Our Solutions Partner Invitational offers a relaxed forum for specialized channel partners to learn more about technology trends, demand drivers and market opportunities impacting their businesses and customers, and discuss what they need to do and consider in order to evolve their business model to capture greater share.”

During the Invitational, channel partners will participate in business- and solution-focused breakout sessions, panels and workshops led by Ingram Micro executives, industry influencers and notable technology manufacturers, including Motorola and HP. The 2012 keynote speaker for the Solutions Partner Invitational is B. Joseph Pine II, Co-Founder of Strategic Horizons, and author of The Experience Economy and Infinite Possibility: Creating Customer Value on the Digital Frontier.

“One of our top priorities at this year’s Spring Solutions Partner Invitational is to show our partners how to seize the infinite possibilities at hand by collaborating with one another and forging tighter working relationships with Ingram Micro and our vendors,” said Justin Scopaz, GM and VP of Ingram Micro’s Data Capture/POS and Physical Security Business Units. “Over the last two years, Ingram Micro has aligned and specialized its business to better serve the needs of our partners, and we remain committed to making it easier for our partners to engage with our sales, marketing and technical support teams, as well as leverage the growing portfolio of enablement resources, converging technology solutions and cloud-based services we have to offer.”
