Partnerships have a resounding effect on a solution’s proliferation within the channel and in turn, a company’s overall success. To expand awareness of its IT security and data protection programs to SMBs, Sophos has partnered with U.S. technology distributor D&H Distributing.
“Sophos was looking to expand the sales and distribution of our SMB solutions in North America,” Matt Fogelgren, Director of Channel Sales, North America for Sophos, told Channel Marketer Report. “With their broad network of more than 25,000 SMB resellers, an experienced sales team and a reputation for providing excellent customer service, D&H was the logical choice as a distribution Partner to accomplish our goals.”
The new partnership will provide small and medium size businesses an opportunity to prevent malware attacks via the Web and on applications. The venture aims to deliver its customers with full-feature products to arm them from IT obstacles.
“Threats and malware are evolving faster than ever, and companies are struggling to protect users and data from these increasingly complex security threats,” said Rob Eby, VP of Purchasing at D&H Distributing in a statement. “We are committed to delivering solutions through our reseller relationships that ensure the security and protection of the end-users’ business environments.”
Through the new relationship, Sophos will gain access to D&H’s channel and partner network. Currently, D&H has more than 25,000 resellers in its SMB market roster while Sophos has more than 16,000 reseller partners worldwide. D&H’s channel partners will gain access to Sophos’ array of solutions including its Security Suite, Computer Security, Anti-Virus, Endpoint Security and Mobile Control.
According to Fogelgren, this venture will increase awareness of Sophos’ business solutions and broaden its consumer base. “As our momentum in the SMB market strengthens, D&H will allow us to gain access to a broader network of resellers in North America,” he said. “This relationship opens up new opportunities for both Sophos and D&H, as we work together to meet the growing demand for security solutions.”
